versatile

I got this toy when my son was 9 months. At the time, I mainly just liked the fact that these were fabric and that we could look at numbers and pictures and label them. Now that he's entering the pretend play realm, I am realizing what a great choice these were. I didn't want to get a barn that did to much of the entertaining, so that he could exercise his imagination. But the farmhouse we ended up getting is limited in pieces and this supplements it really well. We use the blocks as food (what's great are the flaps that transform a whole apple to an eaten apple, a full cup to and empty cup, a whole fish to an eaten fish, and we even have a sheep that can be sheered and a sweater that can be woven from the wool). And, of course, we can always stack up another house. I'm looking forward to when he will be more interested in the puzzle aspect as well! Great product for facilitating imagination!

I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my 1 year old. He loves setting them up & knocking them down. He also loves throwing them at everything, so it helps that they're so soft. It is helping us introduce him to numbers and he is able to identify several of the other images on the blocks. Great product.

I am so glad I went with these soft, learning blocks instead of the original wooden ones. My 1 yr. old niece and nephew LOVE these, and my sister brings them with her everywhere in case they need to be entertained without making a mess. The colors, numbers and images are very vivid and bright and are a great way to aid in cognitive learning skills, as well as colors, numbers, animals, etc.! Can't go wrong with these, and they are machine washable!
